2012 Spring Classic at Myrtle Beach

Back for 2012, the Spring Classic at Myrtle Beach will kick off the Durham Junior Golf Tour’s twentieth season!! Come join us for the second annual off-season development and competitive series in Myrtle Beach offered during March Break. All junior participants will receive professional coaching, structured practice and compete in three 36-hole “Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranked” tournaments with an opportunity to earn an exemption to the 2012 summer tour. Our spring camp is designed to train and prepare players for the 2012 competitive season. The camp will be hosted at the award winning Legends Golf Resort, which is home to three championship golf courses (Moorland, Heathland and Parkland) which are all right on site. All three of the Legends golf courses have received a 4 ½ star ranking by Golf Digest .

The Legends Resort

The Legends Resort welcomes you to their very own Scottish Village. Here you’ll find a special place that is an easy stroll to the Clubhouse and practice area as well as their very own Scottish Tavern, The Ailsa Pub. The Ailsa Pub is the place to be in the evening. Golfing parents can enjoy your daily complimentary beverage and enlighten your friends with your exploits from that day's round of golf. The pub offers delicious American and traditional Scottish meals and is a great place to watch your favorite sporting events. The villas are spacious, well-appointed and specifically designed for your golfing group. Each of the two and three bedroom units is equipped with two bathrooms, living room, kitchen and washer/dryer. Each bedroom has at least two beds, and service for daily housekeeping is provided. Classic Swing Golf School

We have partnered with “The Classic Swing Golf School” to provide five clinics during the week. “The Classic Swing Golf School” has been voted best golf school in Myrtle Beach and is consistently ranked as one of Golf Magazine’s top 25 golf schools in America. The clinics have been designed to shake off the winter rust and will touch all aspects of the golf game. Participants will be taught how to practice effectively and will be provided with drills that will transfer skill development to a competitive round. Premium Practice Facility

The Legends Resort takes the old adage that “Practice Makes Perfect” to a new level. The resort has one of the few full-service lighted practice facilities that lets you keep on practicing after the sun has set. It is spread out over 30-acres and the grass range lets you work on every aspect of your game. The 50,000-square-foot putting surface makes you feel as if you have your very own practice area, and will challenge your flat stick prowess. The chipping and bunker area will help you understand the subtleties of this fine game and, perhaps, help you shave strokes off your scores and handicap.

In order to confirm your enrolment, payment in the amount of $280.00 US per person is required by January 8th, 2012. Full Payment is due by February 17th, 2012.
